Thoughshop at ADX

I’ve been a big fan of the creative workspace ADX since arriving in Portland.  Every time I walk into their giant 10,000 square foot warehouse, the sawdust is flying and some amazing new product is being hewn out of thin air.  ADX provides facilities for woodworking, metalsmithing, bike repair and practically any other creative pursuit you can think of.  In the last few months, they’ve started a series of talks for designers and makers called ThoughtShop.  This Thursday, April 19th, I’ll be taking part in their next panel called Design for Production: Taking your Product to Market.  Together with the designers behind Pigeon Toe Ceramics, QueenBee, Terrazign, and TinyMeat, I’ll be talking about ways to fund, market and bring your product to the masses.  I’ll also be sharing my recent experiences with the crowd-funding site Kickstarter and how you can use it to market and fund your products.

Even if you’re in the early stages of creating your product or just looking for ideas, don’t miss this event!  I’m really looking forward to it and hope to see you there:
